Customer will need to verify their contact details or perform a full "KYC Validation" using Aadhaar.
Here is the step-by-step guide to get it done.
1. Check Your Current Status
Before updating, you need to know what the system requires.
- Go to the CVL KRA Inquiry page.
- Enter your PAN and solve the captcha.
- What your status means:
- KYC Validated: You’re all set. No action is needed.
- KYC Registered: Your documents are on file, but your mobile/email or Aadhaar verification is pending. You can transact with existing funds but may face issues with new ones.
- KYC On-Hold / Rejected: You must update your details immediately as your transactions will likely be blocked.
2. Validating Mobile & Email (If "Registered" or "On-Hold")
If your contact details are the only things missing, use the specific validation portal:
- Visit the CVL KRA Validation Link.
- Enter your PAN.
- The system will show your registered Mobile Number and Email ID.
- Click on Generate OTP for both.
- Enter the OTPs received and click Verify.
3. Updating/Modifying KYC Details (Full Update)
If you need to change your address, name, or upgrade from "Registered" to "Validated" using Aadhaar:
- Access the Modification Link: CVL often directs users to perform modifications through the intermediary (your broker or mutual fund house) or via their online modification portal.
- Aadhaar Authentication: Choose the option to update via Aadhaar (eKYC). This is the fastest way to reach "Validated" status.
- You will be redirected to the UIDAI (Aadhaar) portal.
- Enter your Aadhaar number and the OTP sent to your Aadhaar-linked mobile.
- Upload Documents (If Manual): If you aren't using Aadhaar eKYC, you will need to upload self-attested copies of:
- Proof of Identity (POI): PAN Card.
- Proof of Address (POA): Aadhaar, Voter ID, Passport, or recent Utility Bills.
- In-Person Verification (IPV): For online updates, you may be asked to record a short video (3-5 seconds) of your face to confirm your identity.
4. Post-Submission Tracking
- Once submitted, CVL KRA typically takes 2–5 working days to process the update.
- You can go back to the KYC Inquiry page to see if your status has changed to "KYC Validated".
Note: Ensure your PAN is linked with your Aadhaar before starting. If they aren't linked, the KRA system will likely reject your validation attempt.
