Overview:
This guide outlines the alternative flow for users whose Video KYC has been rejected, allowing them to still onboard for Mutual Funds if they choose to. The goal is to help reactivate such users by offering Mutual Funds as a second investment option and guiding them through the journey seamlessly.

Here’s how the flow works:
Logic:
When a user whose Video KYC is rejected , they see the “Activate MF banner” as the primary one on both main home dashboard and MF dashboard.
The Video KYC rejected banner becomes the secondary one, and on the same banner, if the user clicks, a bottom sheet opens with a CTA to activate MF as shown in screen 3
Clicking on “Activate now” either from the bottom sheet or the MF banner will perform the same action i.e - adding a bank account of their choice to complete onboarding for Mutual funds.

What happens next?
Mutual Fund MF Account Creation Flow
We identify whether a customer is CKYC-verified for Mutual Funds during the PAN entry stage itself. Based on this, two separate flows are followed:
✅ For CKYCVerified Customers
Once the bank account is verified, we pass all required details in the background to our MF API partner to initiate profile creation.
These users will see a “MF account creation in progress” banner on the dashboard.
Once the profile is successfully created, the banner updates to “You’re ready to invest”.
Clicking on the CTA will take the customer to explore popular funds and start investing.
�� For Non-CKYC Verified Customers
After bank account verification, the user is guided through the following steps:
Upload signature
Complete Aadhaar Digilocker verification
Complete Aadhaar eSign verification
Once all steps are completed, we proceed with the KYC submission.
After the KYC is accepted, the profile is created in the same way as CKYC users, and the customer is notified once ready to invest.
VKYC rejected customer activated Mutual Funds >> What’s Next?
Logic:
Once a user activates Mutual Funds and completes an investment, the “Video KYC Rejected” banner reappears as the primary banner on the main dashboard.
This is intentional, as we continue encouraging select users to explore Mutual Funds as an alternative asset. If the user taps on the “Video KYC Rejected” banner, a bottom sheet opens with a new CTA: “Explore Funds.” Clicking on this CTA redirects them to the Popular funds page.
