Overview: Onboarding Flow for 'Aadhaar Non-Serviceable' Customers 

This guide outlines the updated flow for users identified as ‘Aadhaar Non-Serviceable’, who were previously marked as “End of Journey.” With the latest update, such users can now continue their onboarding journey and activate Mutual Fund investments. 

Updated Onboarding Journey: 

. Sign Up - 2.0 Pre sign up 

. Register & Set Passcode - 2.0 Register Mobile & Password setup 

. Complete PAN and Aadhaar Verification - 2.0 PAN, Aadhar and email verification 

. Give consent to AA Optional) - 2.0 PAN, Aadhar and email verification 

. Fill Personal Details - 2.0 Common Onboarding - Personal Details 

. Investor Score Screen: After completing personal details, the user lands on the Investor Score screen, where they are informed of their ‘Aadhaar Non-Serviceable’ status and Instead of ending the journey, the user now sees an option to proceed with Mutual Fund onboarding, enabling them to continue their investment setup without restrictions. 


Steps to Onboard for Mutual funds as a ANS customer

Here’s how the flow works: 

Customers who are identified as “Aadhar non serviceable” is done during the Aadhar digilocker verification during the KYC stage itself. However we let the customer know during the Investor score calculation.

Step 1

The user goes through the standard Investor Score flow and lands on the third screen. Normally, users can choose which product to onboard for. However, in this case, due to an unserviceable Aadhaar pin code—the user is automatically marked as End of Journey for U.S. equities. As a result, on the ANS screen, the user is guided specifically towards Mutual Fund investing, with a clear explanation provided for the same. 

Clicking on “Proceed” takes the user through the usual Add Bank Account journey for Mutual Funds. You can view the detailed flow here: Add Bank account flow - Mutual funds 

Once the bank account is added, the system checks the CKYC status, and the user is guided through the appropriate steps to complete the Mutual Fund onboarding journey. 


For CKYCVerified Customers 

Once the bank account is verified, we pass all required details in the background to our MF API partner to initiate profile creation. 

These users will see a “MF account creation in progress” banner on the dashboard. 

Once the profile is successfully created, the banner updates to “You’re ready to invest”. 

Clicking on the CTA will take the customer to explore popular funds and start investing.

� For Non-CKYC Verified Customers 

After bank account verification, the user is guided through the following steps: 

Upload signature 

Complete Aadhaar Digilocker verification 

Complete Aadhaar eSign verification 

Once all steps are completed, we proceed with the KYC submission. 

After the KYC is accepted, the profile is created in the same way as CKYC users, and the customer is notified once ready to invest.
