Under the Liberalized Remittance Scheme (LRS) of the RBI, all resident individuals, including minors, are allowed to freely remit up to USD 250,000 per financial year (April to March) for any permissible current or capital account transaction or a combination of both. The LRS facility is not available to non-individual entities such as HUF, Partnership Firm, Trust, Society, Association of Persons, Body of Individuals, LLP, and Company.
